Tesla Rental at San Diego Airport (SAN)

You land at San Diego International and the car is already there. No shuttle to an off-site lot, no counter queue, no upsell conversation at eleven at night. We bring the Tesla to the terminal, hand you the keys, and collect it from you at the airport when you fly home.

The airport service is $199 for the whole trip, delivery and collection both, and that price covers the airport parking and access fees, so there is nothing extra to pay on the day. The cars themselves start at $99 per day.

How it works

Book online. Pick your car and your dates, add SAN Airport delivery and pickup at checkout, and tell us your flight details. You pay 30% now and the balance later.

We meet you at the terminal. San Diego International has two terminals, and pre-arranged pickups are handled at the Transportation Plaza and the transportation islands outside them. We agree the exact meeting point with you before you travel, so you walk out of baggage claim and straight to the car.

Drive away. The car arrives with a near-full charge and 150 miles a day included.

Fly home. We collect the car from you at the airport. No fuel stop, no return lot, no shuttle back to a terminal.

Why rent a Tesla in San Diego

San Diego is a driving city, and the things people fly in for are spread across a whole county. La Jolla and Torrey Pines to the north, Coronado across the bridge, Legoland up in Carlsbad, the Gaslamp downtown, the desert an hour and a half east. A Model Y with 150 miles a day included covers a normal week here without you having to think about it.

Charging is less of a chore than visitors expect. Superchargers are dense across the county, the car's screen shows live stall availability and routes you to the nearest free one, and a top-up is a coffee rather than a detour. If you would rather not deal with it at all, add prepaid charging for $45 and hand the car back at any battery level.

Autopilot's lane keeping and adaptive cruise take the edge off the I-5 and the 805 at rush hour, which is the part of a San Diego trip nobody enjoys. And there is no gas station stop on the way back to the airport.

What you need to rent

You will need to be 21 or over, with a valid driver's license and a credit card in your own name, and either your own insurance or our Collision Damage Waiver added at checkout. A refundable $300 deposit is held at pickup. Mileage is 150 a day, and $0.50 a mile beyond that.

If you are not flying in

We deliver across San Diego County as well, to hotels, vacation rentals and homes: downtown, La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Coronado, Pacific Beach. Choose Delivery instead of Pickup when you book and enter the address. That one is charged by distance rather than at the flat airport rate, because it does not involve airport parking.

Or collect the car yourself at 11102 Vista Sorrento Pkwy in Sorrento Valley, where parking is free and there is no delivery charge at all.

Common questions

Which terminal do you meet at? Both. San Diego International has Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and we confirm the exact meeting point with you before you travel.

What if my flight is delayed? Call or text us on (858) 947-2222 as soon as you know. We would rather move the handover than have you rushing.

How many miles do I get? 150 a day, and $0.50 a mile beyond that.

Do I have to charge the car before I give it back? Return it at roughly the charge level it came with, or add prepaid charging for $45 and hand it back at any level.

Is insurance included? You can use your own coverage, or add our Collision Damage Waiver at checkout.
