Monthly Tesla Rental in San Diego

A month in a Tesla costs less per day than a week in one. What a monthly Tesla rental costs

Monthly pricing is flat for thirty days, quoted before you commit, with no booking fee and no airport surcharge.

Compare that with the same cars booked night by night at $89 to $149 a day. The month is the discount — there is nothing else to negotiate and no code to enter.

Who rents a Tesla by the month

Most of our monthly guests fall into one of a few groups, and the reason is nearly always the same: they need a car for longer than a trip but shorter than a lease.

Travel nurses and contract clinicians on assignment at hospitals and clinics across the county, where a thirteen-week contract means three months without a car of your own.
People relocating to San Diego — a new role in Sorrento Valley, UTC or downtown, arriving before the moving truck and before you want to buy anything.
Guests waiting on a car — a new Tesla still in delivery, or one sitting in a body shop longer than the insurance rental covered.
Extended family and business visits where a month of daily-rate rental would cost more than the trip.
Production and project crews needing a clean, quiet car on call for a shoot or a build.

What is included every month

1,800 miles a month. Extra miles are $0.50 each. If you expect to drive more than that, say so when you ask and we will quote the mileage you actually need instead of billing you for it later.
Full Autopilot as standard on every car. Full Self-Driving can be added.
Unlimited Supercharging access through the car itself — the network is built in, no adapters, no membership, no card to register.
A car that is actually maintained. Tires, service and software are ours to worry about for the whole month.

Insurance and protection

You have two routes, and one of them is free. If your own policy already covers a rental car, bring it — there is nothing extra to pay. If it does not, add our Collision Damage Waiver ($50,000 of coverage) at $15 a day and Liability protection ($1 million) at $22 a day. One or the other is required; which one is entirely your choice. A $300 refundable deposit is held at pickup and released when the car comes back.

Charging a Tesla for a month

Charging is the part people worry about and then stop thinking about within a week. Superchargers around San Diego take a Model Y from low to eighty percent in roughly twenty to thirty minutes, and most monthly guests simply plug in at home or at work and never visit one. Supercharging you do during the rental bills to the car's Tesla account and is passed on to you at cost — no markup. Return the car at roughly the charge you picked it up at, or add Prepaid charging once for $45 and hand it back at any level you like.

Delivery, pickup and where the cars are

Pickup and return happen at 11102 Vista Sorrento Pkwy, San Diego, CA 92130, in Torrey Hills — a few minutes from the 5 and the 805. If you would rather not come to us, we deliver. San Diego International (SAN) delivery and collection is $199 for the whole rental with airport parking included, which on a monthly booking works out to about six dollars a day. Delivery to an address in San Diego is priced at checkout once you enter it, and on a month-long rental it is usually the easiest way to start.

What you need to rent

You are 21 or older.
A valid driver's license, held in your own name.
A credit card in your own name for the deposit.
Either your own rental coverage, or one of our protection options.

Parking, tolls and citations during the rental are yours. Everything else on the car is ours.

Driving for Uber, Lyft or delivery

People do ask, and it is a fair question — a Tesla is a good rideshare car and a monthly rate is how the numbers work. Rideshare and delivery use is not automatic, though: it depends on the coverage you carry and on which platform you drive for. Tell us up front if that is your plan. We will confirm what is permitted and exactly what coverage you need before you pay anything, rather than discovering a problem after a claim. If it works, a month is usually the right length; if it does not, we would rather tell you on the phone.

Extending, ending early, or changing cars

Most monthly guests extend at least once, and a second month is arranged with a message — the same rate, no new paperwork, subject only to the car still being free. Cancellations follow the same rule as every Paymiles booking: 48 hours' notice for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, one day at the vehicle's daily rate is charged and the rest is refunded. If you need to move between a Model 3 and a Model Y mid-rental, ask — it depends on the calendar, but it is often possible.

Monthly rentals are quoted directly rather than booked through the online cart, because the mileage, the delivery and the protection are worth getting right in one short conversation instead of guessing at checkout.
